No need to introduce you to the concept go to the Airbnb. If you want to be close to the surf spots on the East Coast, I advise you to do your research on Mahina side because there is not much around Papenoo.

In Mahinathere are two: one next to la pointe Venus : Moera Lodge & Backpacker, price from 4700Fr/night and one more in Mahina's heights: Manava Tahara'a back packers price from 3200Fr/night.

Hotels

If you can afford it, one of the most famous hotels on the East Coast is Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort (formerly Radisson), count about $300 a night.
